The EnergyUSA-TPC Energy Management Services program is comprised of 4 STEPs designed to provide commodity management, process improvement and increased efficiency:

• STEP 1 - Assessment

Assessment

Energy needs and purchasing practices are thoroughly reviewed. On-site audits coupled with complete invoice, billing and utility rate tariff analysis create a detailed picture of current status. Facility personnel are visited to discuss specific needs and buying practices.

A key part of the Assessment STEP is the personnel training activity. Introduction to Energy Risk Management is a multi-faceted review of the energy industry and basic energy risk management principles. The content of the program can easily be adjusted up or down to fit the relative knowledge of attendees. The program contains a number of specific modules that the customer can choose from. The ultimate goal of the class is to develop a basic understanding of energy risk and to begin to ascertain what level of risk a company is comfortable with.

The on-site facility audit reviews a variety of demand-side targets including: motors, lighting, boilers, compressed air, and HVAC. In addition, production and process equipment is reviewed along with maintenance and environmental histories.

During this STEP, we will need: a list of conservation measures already completed/contemplated, full corporate and facility contact information, 2 years of energy billing history and a corporate commitment to support the STEP efforts.

Strategic Design

Information gained from the training session, document review and on-site visits allow us to design an energy purchasing strategy. The strategy will meet or exceed your goals, be clear to understand, measurable and capable of implementation. At this point, demand side opportunities will be further explored and the customer presented with potential implementation partners.

Implementation

With full customer agreement, EnergyUSA-TPC will implement the designed strategy and provide cost effective, reliable service, unparalled balancing and responsive customer service. EnergyUSA-TPC will act as the commodity supplier in situations where we are the best choice for the customer. In situations where EnergyUSA-TPC is unable to physically supply the commodity or where we are not the best choice, we will act as a coordinator to select the best provider. We will: issue RFP's, collect proposals, recommend the best option and conduct tariff negotiations. In either case, EnergyUSA-TPC will provide a variety of financial options including hedging and will coordinate daily balancing and nominations on your behalf.

Reporting

Throughout the term of the STEP contract, EnergyUSA-TPC provides a continuous stream of periodic reports. We will provide continual feedback on energy portfolio performance and implementation status. You will receive daily, weekly and monthly balancing activity summaries, monthly cost and usage summaries and risk management summaries.
